If you ever need someone to navigate the retail floor at your local mall, Kate Middleton should apparently be that person.
The Duchess of Cambridge has been known to pepper her impeccable, closely followed wardrobe with brands all over the price spectrum, from custom Alexander McQueen to midpriced contemporary labels like Issa and Vanessa Seward, and even affordable retailers like J.Crew and Zara. What’s even better, though, is that she’s prone to re-wearing them—like anyone else who’s stumbled across a particularly good fast-fashion find and can’t help but show it off to the world. Such was the case earlier today, when Middleton was photographed in London while visiting a sailing road show wearing some of her go-to staples from the aforementioned mall stalwarts.
It being summer—and the occasion being a visit to a sailing and aquatic sports center—Middleton opted for a nautical theme with her outfit. She pulled out a crisp white blazer from the Zara archives (i.e. anything from the Spanish mega-retailer that’s more than a season old), and paired it with navy kick-leg trousers with gold adornments from J.Crew.
As it goes with anything that gets the Kate Middleton stamp of approval, though, the exact Zara and J.Crew pieces she wore are already sold out. (Though you can find similar trousers here and here.) But let this sighting serve as a reminder: Everyone—even duchesses—knows a good mall find when they see them. Just remember to move fast and add it to your cart as soon as you spot it.
