Ciara‘s no stranger to dramatic hair changes. We’ve seen her in a tousled bombshell bob, a nineties-esque lob, and—when she was expecting her second child—a ridiculously chic shoulder-length cut that framed her face with ombré highlights and softly parted bangs.
But after giving birth to Sienna Princess Wilson at the end of April, the pop singer has switched up her look once again to something completely different from her current look—though we’ve definitely seen it before.
She showed off the new hair on Instagram on Friday. The post is a waist-up shot of Ciara from behind, with locs tumbling down her back in shades of brown and blond. “My Post Baby Dreds Are Back,” she captioned the post.
If this has become Ciara’s postpregnancy style, there’s a good reason for it: Faux locs can be a good protective style for when a mom’s hair starts thinning and shedding after having a baby.

Her 2014 take on them, debuted after giving birth to her son, Future Zahir Wilburn, was similarly multitoned and long:
“I’m obsessed,” Ciara captioned that photo. Agreed.
