True to our predictions that we’d see more of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry this month, the new royal It Couple made their first appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto last weekend. Their public debut wasn’t all we were swooning over, though: Markle also wore an affordable dress that we’re equally obsessed with.
Refinery29 first reported that the Suits actress’s wine-colored accordion-pleat dress wasn’t the ultra-expensive designer number we’d usually expect from the royal-adjacent. Instead Markle opted for a style from Aritzia’s in-house label Wilfred. Even better, the Beaune dress will only set you back $185.
Markle is a known fan of the Canadian retailer: According to a press release from the Aritzia, this is the fifth time she’s been spotted in their clothing. It seems like she and Kate Middleton share an affinity for sneaking in affordable pieces into their luxe wardrobes.
Topping the dress with a burgundy biker jacket from Mackage and adding a matching clutch, Markle proves she’s also a proponent of the monochromatic-dressing trend.
A representative from Aritzia confirmed to Glamour that royal fanatics have already snatched up the Beaune dress in Markle’s preferred colorway online. (However, there are still some Truffle-hued styles available at select stores.) You can still snag the dress in three other shades online, though.
An era where those in the royal inner circle wear looks that everyone can copy? We’re very much here for it. For a slice of Markle’s style, check out the Beaune dress at Aritzia.
