2 killed in 3-vehicle crash in Moreno Valley; SigAlert issued for Gilman Springs Road

A collision Sunday night in Moreno Valley left two people dead, the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.

The agency said in a tweet that there were three vehicles involved with eight victims; two of whom died at the scene.

The California Highway Patrol was investigating the incident, which was reported at 7:18 p.m. and required extrication of some of the victims. It happened at Gilman Springs Road at Allesandro Boulevard.

The CHP log showed a SigAlert was called for Gilman Springs Road, which runs from the 60 Freeway south to Gilman Hot Springs and San Jacinto. The SigAlert closed lanes between the 60 Freeway and Highway 79 to the south.

A January head-on crash on Gilman Springs Road near Bridge Street killed a Hemet woman.
