3 students accused of making threat against Goddard Middle School in Glendora

Glendora police on Monday arrested three Goddard Middle School students on suspicion of making a threat against the school.

It’s not clear how police found out about the threat, what the threat stated and how police identified the suspects. Investigators could not immediately be reached for comment.

In an email to parents, Glendora Unified Superintendent Robert Voors wrote that the district found out Sunday night that three students “made threatening comments at school about school violence.”

The police investigation revealed social media posts that were concerning and the three students were arrested early Monday morning, according to Voors.

“Regardless if this threat were to actually be carried out, there is no tolerance for such behavior,” he wrote.

Sgt. Jason Tibbetts said three boys were arrested on suspicion of making a criminal threat and were later released to the custody of their parents.

Voors said the students will also face school discipline while the investigation is being conducted.

Goddard Middle School is located at 859 Sierra Madre Ave.
